今天，我们来自全球不同国家的文化艺术界的代表，在中国美丽的云贵高原上，在国际民间手工艺博览大会上，共同发起全球传统手工艺保护的《贵州宣言》，在此，我们向全世界各国政府、地区政府、文化机构、专业机构、社会组织及个人发出强烈呼吁：请你们关注人类的手工技艺的存在状况，并请给予足够的资源，保护、研究、传承以及推广世界各地区、各民族的传统手工技艺。

              因为世界现存的手工技艺的发展演变历程就是人类发展历程的见证，今天，我们在世界各地的博物馆、美术馆乃至日常生活中能欣赏或使用的精美手工艺术品，都是人类智慧发展变化的具体表现，千百年来，人类创造的物质世界，无一不是由人手创造，甚至世界各民族璀灿辉煌的文化艺术、科学技术，都是依靠我们的双手去创造。

             然而，在当今的后工业时代，或称为工业智能时代，手工艺术被工业化低成本大批量生产取代，大量传统手工艺因为产业的衰退而消亡，人类历史上曾经蕴含高度智慧的高超手工技艺，因为生存环境的恶化而失传，这是全人类共有财富无法挽回的巨大损失。

             人类今天的文明来源于人类思想与双手的共同创造，手工技艺，是人类智慧的不竭之源，保护手工技艺，就是保护人类发展的智慧源泉；为了保护世界民族文化的的多样性，为了人类文明的多元化的延续，为了不让机器取代人类智能的发展，我们强烈呼吁：让我们清醒地认识我们所处的时代，我们需要采取有力的措施应对工业化技术时代的手工技艺面临的困境，保护手工技艺，保护人类历史文化的活力，保护我们赖以生存发展的文明的根基。

《 On Safeguarding World Folk Arts and Crafts》

During the process of getting along with nature, humans created brilliant and enduring folk arts and crafts. As the quintessence of human intelligence, folk craft have lasted for thousands of years, flourishing from generation to generation. Created by people to help people; its developing history echoing the history of civilization.

With globalization and with economic development in the world, more and more traditional folk crafts and skills have been displaced by modern industry. Especially in the post-industrial age with large-scale industry dominating social production, large numbers of arts and crafts are disappearing leading to great loss. This loss of traditional craftsmanship is an irreparable loss to the common wealth of all mankind.

Civilization as we know it today derives from the joint creation of human thought and human hands. Craftsmanship is one of the inexhaustible sources of human intelligence. Safeguarding craftsmanship is to safeguard our intelligence. The survival and continuing development of traditional folk arts and crafts, the embodiment of human intelligence, is the urgent issue we need to tackle.

In order to protect the diversity of world culture and civilization, we appeal for a clear awareness of the difficulties that craftsmanship is experiencing in this era of industrialization. We need to take strong measures to protect folk arts and crafts, the foundation of civilization, with which we survive and develop.

Today, crafts artists, researchers and guardians from around the world, have gathered together in the beautiful Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, in this Expo to sponsor the Guizhou Manifesto on Safeguarding World Folk Arts and Crafts.

We would make our appeal and plea to all national and territorial governments, institutions of folk arts and crafts, social organizations and individuals: Please pay close attention to the current situation on the existence of craftsmanship and actively participate in its protection, research and transmission of folk arts and crafts. Let us all take the responsibility for the protection of human craftsmanship.

We urge all the national and territorial governments and social organizations to provide enough resources for the transmission and promotion of craftsmanship, to create conditions for craftspeople to enjoy their life and career with dignity, to inculcate in our children the understanding, respect and love for traditional craftsmanship and recognize its greatness and its irreplaceable position in the new phase of human development. We protect civilization so that we protect the future of humanity.
